LEV Test & Service Team Expanded

Purex International Ltd, leading manufacturer of fume extraction systems is proud to announce an addition to their LEV Test and Service Department.

LEV (or local exhaust ventilation) equipment is used to extract fumes and dust from varied applications such as soldering, laser coding & engraving, printing, welding and many others.

The COSHH regulations in the UK insist that LEV equipment is tested by a qualified person at least every 14 months. Nick Scarr, who has been with Purex since January 2006 has embraced the opportunity to join the LEV Test and Service Department as LEV Engineer to boost capacity.

Nick brings to the role more than 20 years experience working within the servicing/installation industry plus many years of experience working with Purex machines. More recently he has qualified for a P601 certificate which is recommended in order to test LEV equipment.

Nick’s new ride is a brand new Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, decked out with Purex Sentinel graphics. Purex LEV engineers can test Purex or any other LEV equipment customers may have on site. For more information contact 01709 763000 or visit www.purex.co.uk/lev-testing.
